Purpose of Role

The job holder will work as a Senior Content Marketing Manager for Centaur Marketing’s Profile Group teams. A great storyteller and tenacious writer, the role will focus on working alongside the marketing, commercial and content teams to produce engaging content marketing copy consistent with the brands’ voice. The role is to engage in the conversations that are happening in the B2B influencer and talent marketing arenas and to contextualise solutions using the products and surrounding insight. The content has the purpose of demonstrating to prospects the breadth of the product in order to generate brand awareness, generate leads and drive traffic. The role requires a balance of creative and analytical skills and a knowledge of commercial and editorial processes.

Key accountabilities

Strategic

  • Build valuable audiences and drive lead generation via content aimed at marketing and PR professionals
  • Co-ordinate with internal marketing and product development teams to deliver content for all prospects, channels, campaigns and for each phase of our sales and marketing lifecycles
  • Create and take ownership of the content marketing schedule based on customers and objectives, ensuring content is delivered across all channels such as social and email to the highest standard and to deadline
  • Track the performance of each content piece and report back monthly to the business, using these results to shape future decisions on content topics
  • Continuous review and improvement of the content marketing plan to ensure that copy continually attracts, engages and converts
  • Keep ahead of current and future trends within influencer and talent marketing and pitch content ideas that position the products as thought and market leaders.

Operational

  • Line management of the ‘content hub’ team
  • Partner with wider marketing, content and commercial teams to deliver original content (case studies, features, special reports, infographics, events) to deadline
  • Be responsible for driving the timely execution and delivery of the centralised content marketing plan, liaising with internally sourced designers, marketing, and the wider content teams to achieve this
  • Ensure all content marketing activities are tailored and co-ordinated across all relevant channels including social and email
  • Ensure all content marketing output maintains brand consistency, tone and target message are on point
  • Oversee repurposing of content across all other product channels, ensuring this is optimized, produced to an appropriate frequency and completed on time.

Knowledge

  • Full understanding of our data and insight across the products, with a confidence to communicate these features fully throughout the content marketing offering
  • Knowledge and preferably experience within influencer and talent marketing
  • Sound understanding of the marketing and communications landscape
  • Awareness and knowledge of the varying profiles of our subscribers and prospects
  • Understanding of our competitors

Essential Skills

  • Proven background experience in B2B content marketing
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrable ability in time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • A strong commercial understanding of content-led lead generation
  • Demonstrated ability to drive engagement with content and generate sales leads
  • Working knowledge of SEO and link building best practices
  • Efficient in working with social platforms and a strong interest in social media trends
  • Knowledge and understanding of influencer and talent marketing
  • Ability to build strong relationships with brands, PRs and media

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within B2B content marketing
  • Working knowledge of Adobe, Google Analytics, and Exact Target
  • Degree in marketing and/or communications
